History
Team Fryerning has been going strong for 25 years and each one of those years
we have improved the facilities. To many we are now the premier Carp fishing
complex in south-east England, and many of the sport’s top anglers come to the
lakes to test their skills. Take a look around here and see for yourself how we have
developed over a quarter-of-a-century – two new lakes, a hatchery, and plenty of
hard graft to improve the swims – and rest assured we will make Fryerning even
better in the future. Why not join us for the next 25 years?
Team Fryerning
So what would you be joining? Team Fryerning is a close-knit and highly successful
Syndicate that enjoys access to three top-class fishing lakes catering for all levels of
ability and experience – from intermediates, on to the really experienced angler.
With a constantly updated website featuring catch reports, member interviews, news,
views, and product updates – and with Chris and Charlie on-site most days to deal
with your queries directly – this is one fishing Syndicate you must be part of.
We have lakes tailor-made for intermediates, where you can learn the art of fishing
in peaceful surroundings. Our Top Rod for 2008, Peter Weedon, started as a
intermediate here just a few years ago and this year has pulled out a 45+, so you
can see what’s possible. And don’t forget – Fryerning Top Rods get a cup
presented to them at the end of the year to mark their achievement, so if you think
you can match Peter (and why shouldn’t you?) come on down and get fishing.
What if I am an experienced angler? Then Fryerning is the place for you too. The 18-
acre main lake has a wealth of features like plateaux, gravel beds and an old river
course, with fish now being landed in the 40+ region. Top anglers like Ian Chillcott
and Frank Warwick visit us and they wouldn’t waste their time at second-rate
facilities. Why not join them now?
Specimen Carp Stocking
Over 25 years we have stocked 250 Fryerning original to 35lb+, 150 Redmire lenny
to 30lb+, 50 Mark Simmonds 45lb+, 250 hybridize off springs from the above to
30lb+ in less than 10 years
The Lodge
The Lodge is the place to come for a cup of tea, a chat with other members or just a
chance to put your feet up lakeside, relax, and enjoy the beautiful views across the
water. We also stock bait here, so you don’t have to leave the site to top up on the
essentials. Plans are in hand to build a new members’ area to expand on the
already excellent facilities but many of our members agree that the Lodge is just the
place to chill out before or after going for those top-condition English Carp.
Commercial
Fryerning Fisheries offers a complete commercial package in aquaculture services,
from the design, construction and maintenance of lakes to stocking waters with
healthy, fast-growing English carp reared in our dedicated hatchery. The breeding
programme is accredited with CEFAS and DEFRA so you can rest assured the
quality is high and guaranteed.
